Gary has lived in East Hampton since 1979 when he and his wife, Rita, purchased the Maidstone Arms, a local Inn and Restaurant, which they owned and operated for twelve years. Subsequently, they owned the J. Harper Poor Cottage, a luxury B&B.
Gary joined the Devlin McNiff firm in 2004, bringing with him years of experience, buying, owning and selling real estate on the East End. Gary is widely known in the community, served in local government and schools in various capacities. He served on the East Hampton Village Design and Review Board when it was first founded and his participation and sound reasoning helped the board evolve into a respected force for improvement. Gary is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, having earned M.A. and Ph.D. degrees. In Pittsburgh, Gary worked for the city planning department.
